The Friends of the Mattapoisett Library's annual meeting will be on Sunday, October 21, at 3 p.m. at the library.

Guest speaker and author Anne D. LeClaire will talk about her work. LeClaire is the author of nine novels, including “Land's End,” “Entering Normal,” “The Lavender Hour” and “Leaving Eden.”

LeClaire’s first non-fiction book, “Listening Below the Noise,” is a meditation on the practice of silence.
