ROCHESTER — Those that are ready for fall planting and looking for more native trees, shrubs and plants for their yard now have an opportunity to garden and support local land trusts at the same time.

Mattapoisett Land Trust and Rochester Land Trust have partnered with a new native plant nursery for a September fundraiser.

For two weekends — Sept. 21 and 22 as well as Sept. 28 and 29 — Tree Talk Natives, a nursery in Rochester, will donate 20% of all sales from land trust members back to the land trusts.

At checkout, customers should tell Tree Talk Natives if they are either with Mattapoisett Land Trust or Rochester Land Trust in order for proceeds to be donated. Tree Talk Natives is located at 157 Vaughan Hill Road and at treetalknatives.com.
