The Gateway Babe Ruth League, centered in Wareham, is now accepting tryout registrations for Team Gateway's AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) teams.

The teams are for players aged 9-14. There is no fee to try out, but a high amount of registrations are expected - players are encouraged to register early at www.gatewaybaberuth.com

Tryouts will be held at Dexter Fields in Rochester on Saturday, August 26.

9 a.m.: ages 11-14

11 a.m.: ages 9-10

Registrations for the baseball league's fall season are also open. The league is open to players aged 12-16. There will be one division for players aged 12-13, and another for players aged 14-16.

Registrations close on September 1.
