Habitat house takes shape with help from volunteers

Oct 2, 2015

The Buzzards Bay Area Habitat for Humanity's first build in Marion is well underway with help from volunteers and local businesses.

For the past two weeks students from Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School have prepared trusses and siding for the single family home on Route 6.

A crew from Lars Olson's Fine Home Building, Shoreline Remodeling and Little Harbor Builders began installing the trusses and siding last weekend. The trusses were supplied by Reliable Truss and lifted in place by Mike Levitt, owner of Seacoast Crane Services.

Pilgrim Bank supplied the volunteers with food.
