Habitat for Humanity accepting candidates for Marion home Aug. 30

Buzzards Bay Area Habitat for Humanity’s Family Selection Committee is currently reviewing potential candidates for Habitat housing. The Committee will hold an informational meeting at Elizabeth Taber Library in Marion on August 30 at 6 p.m.

The application deadline for consideration for the Marion home is September 28.

During the review process, the Family Selection Committee will evaluate applications, meet with potential partner families and make recommendations to the Habitat for Humanity Board. Families who would like to be considered for selection are invited to attend the informational meeting or send in an application.

Buzzards Bay Area Habitat for Humanity’s latest build will be on Route 6 in Marion. Construction is scheduled to begin this fall and is expected to take six to nine months to complete. In conjunction with preparation for the start of the Marion build, Habitat is also seeking land donations for additional builds.
