Harbor Days festival returns to Mattapoisett

MATTAPOISETT — Shipyard Park will be home to live music, local vendors and fresh food from July 14 to 21 for the Mattapoisett Lions Club’s Harbor Days.

Events leading up to the Harbor Days festival will begin on Sunday, July 14 with a triathlon consisting of a quarter mile swim, 5K run, and 10 mile bike ride. The race will begin at Mattapoisett Town Beach at 8 a.m. Participants should sign in at 7 a.m.

Shopping in Shipyard Park will be held under a tent on July 14 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Participants will be able to shop from local residents who work from home. A vendor listing will be provided by the Mattapoisett Lions Club.

A concert will be held at Shipyard Park on Wednesday, July 17 from 7 p.m to 9 p.m. Strawberry shortcakes will be served.

Painting at the Park will be on Thursday, July 18 at 6:30 p.m. A limited number of seats are available. Register online at https://app.getoccasion.com/xp/PrbwlmJX.

The Oxford Creamery Fish Fry will be on Friday, July 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m also under the tent at Shipyard Park.

During the Harbor Days festival there will be a Lobsterfest Dinner on Saturday, July 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and a pancake breakfast on Sunday, July 21 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

A silent auction will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 20. Participants will bid on items donated by local vendors and organizations. Winners will be announced around 4 p.m. Participants must be at least 18-years-old and have a valid driver’s license to enter.

Winners for the grand raffle will be announced around 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 21. Tickets are $5 individually and $10 for three tickets.

A free shuttle to Shipyard Park will be available during the Harbor Days festival from the former Bowlmor Lanes on Route 6. Food tickets will be sold at the park.
