Harbor Days to return: See the full schedule of events
MATTAPOISETT — Mark your calendars, Harbor Days are back in Mattapoisett from Tuesday, July 11 to Sunday, July 16.
The annual event, which has been held in Mattapoisett since the 1980s, serves as a major fundraiser for the Mattapoisett Lions Club, which sponsors local scholarships and contests and supports people in need in the area, said Kimberly Ray, president of the Mattapoisett Lions Club.
In addition to the six days of activities, the Mattapoisett Lions Club triathlon will be held starting at 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 30 at the town beach. The event includes a .25-mile swim, a 10-mile bike ride and a 3.1-mile run.

The full schedule of Harbor Days activities are as follows:
On Tuesday, July 11, join the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club for a “Taste of the Town” under the big tent at Shipyard Park from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Tickets cost $1 and the event will feature snacks, food and ice cream from 12 Mattapoisett restaurants.
On Wednesday, July 12, enjoy strawberry shortcakes in Shipyard Park from 6 to 9 p.m. Shortcakes are $7 each. While chowing down, hear the Mattapoisett Town Band play tunes from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
On Thursday, July 13 there will be an adult paint night under the big tent in Shipyard Park from 6 to 8 p.m. Pre-registration is required. Tickets are $39 each. To register, visit https://app.getoccasion.com/p/n/vLWNwVJ3?time_slot_id=guevqLzy95tH.
Then on Friday, July 14, head down to Shipyard Park for a Friday Night Fish Fry by Oxford Creamery from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Each meal is $16. Also from 5 to 7:30 p.m. will be another helping of strawberry shortcakes, $7 each.
Enjoy the music of Xtreme Acoustic from 5 to 7 p.m., during the fish fry.
The Harbor Days festivities start to pick up on Saturday, July 15 with a craft fair featuring over 100 vendors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and a “U Pick ‘Em” auction from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Shipyard Park.
Then, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., The Lions Club grill and Oxford Creamery Oxcart will serve up lunch. And again, strawberry shortcakes will be on sale for $7 from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Lastly, don’t miss a $30 “Lobsterfest” dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Also on Saturday, the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club will hold its annual Pie and Pastry sale at Shipyard park beginning at 9 a.m. and ending when baked goods sell out.
Throughout the day, listen to the music of Gary Brown from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., check out Science Marvels of Motion from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., and finish out the night with the music of Rebecca Correia from 4 to 6 p.m.
Sunday, July 16 starts early with an $8 pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Then Harbor Days attendees have a second chance to visit a craft fair featuring over 100 vendors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and a “U Pick ‘Em” auction from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Shipyard Park.
From 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. the Lions Club grill will be open for lunch and the Oxcart will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Finally, this is the last day to get strawberry shortcakes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. — or until they sell out.
Sunday’s entertainment features the music of Caroline Wingate from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., the Showstoppers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the Johnny Bickford Band from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
