MATTAPOISETT — The Free Public Library will host a number of children’s crafts, author talks and storytime events during February Vacation. 

On Tuesday Feb. 19 the library will host three events. The first event, to begin at 11 a.m. is an author reading and book signing by Michelle Cusolito, the author of “Flying Deep: Climb Inside Deep Sea Submersible Alvin.” The reading will last until noon. Then at 1 p.m. the Mattapoisett Library will hold a Rainbow Fish storytime and craft for students in Kindergarten through second grade. From 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. the library will host a Harry Potter storytime and craft session for children who are slightly older, in grades three to six. 

Registration with the Children’s Department is required for the Tuesday events. 

On Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. the library will host a family storytime, open to children of all ages. 

The next day, the Mattapoisett Library will host a board games day for students aged 7 and up. This event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

For the final day of the week the library will screen the movie “Ponyo” from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The movie is recommended for student ages 5 and up.
