MATTAPOISETT — The Fire Station Building Committee will present the proposed plans for the new Fire Station on May 1 at 7 p.m. at the Center School cafeteria, 17 Barstow St.

This meeting is open to all Mattapoisett residents, as the project will be article 1 on the May 13 Town Meeting warrant.

The project would be constructed on the parcel of land on Route 6 adjacent to the Police Station, and would fix health code violations in the current building and give the Fire Department more room to store equipment. Members of the Building Committee will be on hand to answer questions.

The architect’s renderings and site plans will be available to view.  Fire Chief Andrew Murray and members of the Building Committee will also be on hand to answer questions about this project.
