Helen B. (Brito) Teixeira, of Marion died Monday, March 7 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham. She was the wife of the late James J. Teixeira.

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia Brito. A longtime resident of Marion, she enjoyed reading, gardening and flowers.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara White and her husband Ernest of Vacaville, California; her sister, Madeline Santos of Wareham; her grandchildren, Derik DeGrace and his wife Carol, Darrin Garcia, Angelyn Cole and her husband Michael, Tamra Lewis and her husband Melvin; her great grandchildren, Vanessa Lewis, Jordan Cole, Damien Cole, Deziraye Cole, Michael Cole, Shane DeGrace and Jasmine Garcia and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
