There is no meal that evokes such fond memories as a bowl of homemade soup that heals the body and spirit.

On Thursdays at noon at the Benjamin D. Cushing Center (465 Mill Street), the council will be offering up a selection of homemade soups. Due to the restrictions put into place by covid, seating is limited and reservations are necessary. Soup will also be made available for takeout. All reservations for dine in or take out must be made 48 hours in advance.

For Halloween, the council will be giving out candy at the Benjamin D. Cushing Center on Oct. 30 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Yoga sessions will be offered on Mondays at 10:15 a.m. Strength and conditioning will be offered at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and 12:30 p.m. on Fridays. Meditation will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays. Memory Cafe will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. Tai chi will be offered at 9:00 a.m. on Thursdays, with Zumba offered at 10:15 a.m.
