Historical Society Fall Festival showcases agricultural past

The Mattapoisett Historical Society held its annual Fall Festival on Saturday afternoon where kids and parents tried their hand at old-fashioned activities.
Kids pressed fresh apple cider using antique tools, made corn husk dolls, carved pumpkins and raced on stilts.
Peter’s Farm in Acushnet and Stop and Shop donated the apples, which were a big part of the festival as kids bobbed for them and learned to core them.
