Hole lot of fun: Taber Library hosts indoor minigolf
MARION — Fore on the floor?
The Elizabeth Taber Library transformed its children’s section into a minigolf course on Friday, Jan. 28, as it hosted an indoor minigolf after school activity for local kids.
“It’s just a little activity before the storm hits,” said Children’s Librarian Heather Ripley, in reference to Saturday’s incoming blizzard.
The five-hole course was made using a set of minigolf holes and putters with obstacles made of books, Legos and other library materials.
“I got a hole-in-one on the second hole,” said seven-year-old Sebastian Spinale.
The kids even got to decorate their golf balls before they played, using colored markers.
Four-year-old Reagan Tracy said she colored hers blue and yellow because those are her favorite colors.
The activity reminded Reagan’s older sister Peyton, 6, of a golf tournament she went to once with her dad when she putted a hole-in-one.
“We got a medal and some candy,” she said proudly.
