The annual Holiday in the Park event returns to Shipyard Park Saturday, Dec. 3 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Santa and Mrs. Claus, free food, music and all kinds of events are coming to town in time for the holidays.

Also, stop by the Mattapoisett Library for story time and candy house craft-making from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Restrooms are open to the public at the library and the Mattapoisett Town Hall.

Please bring unwrapped gifts for children in need, and bring a canned good for the table under the tent.

Musical performances will include the Old Hammondtown Concert Band, Old Hammondtown Chorus, the Occasion Singers, the Harpoon Harmonizers and Rick LeBlanc.

Boy Scout Troop 53 will be selling wreaths and poinsettias with free hot chocolate and hot coffee at Town Hall from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The tree lighting will take place at dusk.
