An icy patch of pavement, late Tuesday afternoon evening, was to blame for a rollover on Point Road near Hammetts Cove Road.

A police officer on the scene said the single car accident occurred when the driver of a pickup skidded and hit a tree trunk on the edge of the road. Conditions were just right to flip the truck and the man, who was the only occupant.

According to police, the man appeared not to have sustained injuries but was taken to Tobey Hospital as a precaution.
