To the Editor:

We, the undersigned, are all past chairs of the Marion Planning Board and support Steve Kokkins in this upcoming election. We feel that, more than ever, this town needs his leadership and dedication. His presence on the Planning Board will not be a new one. He served as chairman in 2014-2015 and vice-chairman in 2013-2014.

During that time, among many other issues, Steve steered the board through a contentious CVS proposal and solar bylaw negotiations. Ultimately, CVS withdrew their plans and a final version of the solar bylaws was adopted by the town.

Coupled with his 15 years of experience on the Town of Boxford’s Planning and Zoning Boards and his 45 years as a professional Engineer in New York and Massachusetts, he is clearly the most qualified candidate.
