It’s lit! Residents show off Christmas light displays

Dec 22, 2020

“Haul out the holly, Put up the tree before my spirit falls again” as Johnny Mathis sings.

It’s the Christmas season, and residents from all three towns deck the halls, windows, lawns, porches and garages with lights and inflatables.

Above all the rest, one house at 409 Neck Road in Rochester stood out with an entire light show and its own radio station that synced to the songs.

Little Saint Nick by the Beach Boys, Christmas covers by acapella group Pentatonix and more could be picked up over the airwaves by the people sitting in their cars on the outer edge of the property.

The show features a row of Christmas trees in front of the home, and lights, icicles and mickey mouse symbols on the house that moved and grooved to the music. A small sign in the front of the home tells viewers to tune into 88.1 FM.

The show can be viewed from 6 to 10 p.m. and streetside parking is available in front of the home. Check out the video above captured by reader Jaime Rebhan.

But the dancing lights show isn’t the only place you can go to look at holiday decorations this season. From Baby Yoda to minions to penguins as tall as houses, you can see houses decorated to the nine (reindeer)s all over the Tri-Town.
