Joan Hurley Rogers, 77, of Wareham, died Dec. 8 at home. She was the daughter of the late Alexander Murray and Katherine (Hurley) Murray Doherty.

She was born in Newton and lived in California for many years before moving to Wareham in 1988.

Joan graduated from Watertown High School in 1954.

She worked for the Saddleback Valley Unified School District in California for many years and later as a caregiver.

Survivors include her daughter, Erica H. O’Connor and her husband Richard of Marion; her son, Michael L. Rogers of Foothill Ranch, California; two randchildren, Cameron O’Connor and Devyn O’Connor both of Marion.

Her graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 15 in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham.

Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
