First Congregational Church of Marion and St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church will co-worship at Silvershell Beach at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26. The public is invited to attend.

After the outdoor worship service, there will be a picnic and outdoor fun for all.

Bring a lawn chair or a blanket. Bring a friend or a family. The worship experience will set up on the grass, near the entrance on Lewis Street.

There will  be a "Silly Olympics" for all, including  3-legged races, sack races, water balloon toss; tug-of-war; greased watermelon rugby in the shallow water.

Following worship, there will be a potluck picnic lunch. And just for fun, there will be a local ice cream truck visiting offering complimentary ice cream desserts.
