Judy S. Golten, 74, peacefully passed away on the evening of July 26, 2018 surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Burbank, California in 1944, Judy was the daughter of the late Earl and Rebecca (Maderia) Scott. She was one of three children.

She was an accomplished accountant with a long career. She recently retired as controller of New Bedford Yacht Club after 20 years on the job. She was an active industry professional, church community member, and beloved matriarch of her family. Her strength through overcoming three battles with cancer inspired those around her. She was a rock who grounded her family and will be deeply missed.

She leaves her partner, Per Golten, and their four loving children and their spouses and partner, Britt Zartman, and her husband, Mike, Ian Golten, and his wife, Avnit, Sonja Golten, and her partner, Jennifer O'Connell, and Borg Golten; her grandchildren Abbey and Katie Zartman, and Tara and Sophie Golten; a brother Craig Scott and his wife, Evelyn, nieces Laura, Dana, and Brenna Scott, and Heather Scott.

She was predeceased by her brother, Gary Scott.

Judy's memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, at Mattapoisett Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mattapoisett Congregational Church, a community that gave her happiness and support for many years.
