Kids take over Mattapoisett Library

Scavenger hunts, book walks, crafts and, of course, a dog who loves books were all a part of the Mattapoisett Library's Take Your Child to the Library Day.
The building was abuzz on Saturday with a full day of activities to help children engage with the library.
Sadie the Goldendoodle was a highlight for kids. Part of the Reading PAWS program, Sadie is trained to sit patiently (with the occasional lick) while kids practice their reading.
Computer programs, chess games and an indoor story walk were also a part of the day, with lots of help from the Junior Friends of the Library.
