MARION — Join Sippican Lands Trust for a talk with a renowned entomologist Thursday, Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Marion Natural History Museum.
Entomologist, ecologist and conservationist Doug Tallamy will be giving a presentation on native plant species and the value of biodiversity — starting with one’s backyard.
While the talk will be given virtually, it will still be held in-person with other in-person components.
Tallamy is a professor in the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware. He is also co-founded of the non-profit Homegrown National Park, which aims to increase awareness of the importance of biodiversity and native species.
The presentation is co-hosted by the Marion Natural History Museum and both museum and Sippican Lands Trust members are welcomed.
