MATTAPOISETT – Author and historian Carol Cohen will present on and portray the life of Eleanor Roosevelt at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library on Saturday, May 4 at 3 p.m.

Cohen’s interactive presentation offers participants the chance to meet Roosevelt at her home, learn about her role as a human rights activist, and inspect many primary sources that were part of Roosevelt's personal and professional life.

The presentation will focus on Roosevelt after the death of her husband, when she lived at Val Kill on her own.

The program is part of the One Book, Tri-Town Series sponsored by the public libraries of Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester and is supported by the Friends of the Mattapoisett Library.
