Join the Marion Natural History Museum on Friday, July 7  from 9 a.m to 12 p.m at Brainard Marsh to learn more about local seaweeds.

The group will be collecting and inspecting the seaweeds with microscopes and magnifiers, and each student will be making a seaweed pressing to take home.

The group will also learn about everyday products that contain seaweed and will use a seining net to explore what types of fish use Brainard Marsh area for shelter.

Participants are asked to  dress to get wet and possibly muddy.
