Learn about mosquitoes in Marion

MARION — Several serious diseases are associated with mosquitoes, including malaria, yellow fever, and Zika.

Though many are either rare or unheard of in Massachusetts, the eastern equine encephalitis incidence rate is one of the highest in the nation. 

On September 20 at 6:30 p.m. enotomologist Blake Dinus from the Plymouth County Mosquito Control program will visit the Marion Natural History Museum to teach about mosquito biology, pathogens they cary, habitat management and protection methods. 

Admission for the talk is free.
