Learn about Tabor Academy’s work on marine sciences

MARION — Tabor Academy faculty and students will present about the school’s work with the Marine and Oceanographic Technology Network on May 6 at 5:30 p.m.

Director of Marine Sciences at Tabor Academy, Jay Cassista, will give an introduction on the school’s science courses, initiatives and research. Then, Dr. John Crosby will share his research on disappearing coral reefs.

Tabor Academy senior Sophie Banas will present her capstone project detailing her work with a University of Massachusetts graduate student. Senior students Anna Douglas and Kellie Navarro will also share how they supported the school’s Marine Science initiatives.

The free public meeting will take place at Lillard Hall at Tabor Academy at 245 Front St.
