The First Congregational Church of Marion will sponsor a “Heart Saver Training Class” on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 12 p.m.
The class provides an opportunity to learn techniques to be prepared for an emergency.
No previous medical training is required to take the course.
This 3 to 4 hour class will be held on the second floor of the church’s community center at 144 Front St.
Attendees will be trained in CPR, basic first aid, defibrillator use, choke saving and instruction to stop bleeding.
The course is taught by local EMT instructors.
The class is open to ages 12 and older.
A certificate valid for two years will be issued to all who complete the course.
The cost of the course is $75 per person. To sign up, call the church office at 508-748-1053.
A $75 check payable to The First Congregational Church of Marion should be brought to the church office or the class.
The deadline to sign up for the course is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
