Library sets May, June activities

MARION — A number of events are scheduled in May and June at the Elizabeth Taber Library, 8 Spring St., Marion.

Lego club is back. Every Thursday through September the library courtyard will be open at 4 p.m. Thursdays for child-led play, open to all ages.  This is a drop-in activity, legos are provided. Oversized-legos are available for young children. Lego club will be held indoors in case of bad weather.

Storytime in the courtyard will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays. All ages are invited to listen and play at our twice weekly outdoor story times.  Story times will be held indoors in case of bad weather. 

Dungeons and Dragons with Dylan will be offered from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays beginning May 31. Resident tabletop enthusiast Dylan Benoit will lead the program. Beginners and experts are welcome.  This is aimed at those ages 14 and older.  Call to sign up at the library.

The summer reading adventure with a summer reading kick-off from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 25 with a visit from a portable climbing wall and free ice cream.  Little ones are invited to a summer splash event with splash pads, kiddie pools, sprinklers, and other features.

The Elizabeth Taber Library has indoor and outdoor accommodations available for all small group meetings.  Call to reserve our meeting room space or to arrange for outdoor accommodations. A shade tent is included or stop by anytime to check out our space.
