Lillian S. Corbett, 89, of Ashland, formerly of Marion, died Nov. 24 in the Metrowest Medical Center, Framingham. She was the widow of the late George W. Corbett and the daughter of the late Henry and Laura (Barros) DaSilva.

She was born in Marion and lived in Ashland for over 40 years.

Mrs. Corbett worked at Vernon House Nursing Home for many years before retiring.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary E. Mello and her husband Antone Mello, Sr. of Rochester Hills, Michigan; two brothers, Harry DaSilva and Richard DaSilva both of Marion; two sisters, Elizabeth Mendes of Canton and Shirley Downing of Dartmouth; four grandchildren, LeRonda Shearer and her husband Cassius, Monica Mello, Antone Mello, Jr. and Christopher Mello; seven great grandchildren, Michael Waithe, Jr. Cassius Shearer, Jr., Nicole Shearer, Arianna Mello, Olivia Mello, Alaina Mello and Gabrielle Mello; many nephews and nieces. She was the sister of the late Henry DaSilva, Jr., Edward Silva, and Dorothy Coleman.

Her funeral will be held at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
