The Mattapoisett Lions Club has announced that Rachel Brown of Old Rochester Regional High School is the recipient of its 2014 Award of Excellence. Brown will receive a $5,000 scholarship.

The graduating senior has been admitted to the School of Health Sciences for a five and a half year entry level master’s degree in occupational therapy program at Quinnipiac University in the fall.

She is recognized for her work in community service, her goals when she completes her studies and her academic record.
