Bishop Stang High School was one of 100 schools that participated in the qualifying round for WGBH’s High School Quiz Show in early November.

Although the team did not advance to the final 16 schools, this is the first year the quiz show was open to students in parochial and private schools.

Bishop Stang math teacher and Mattapoisett resident Tom Copps led the team. Student Jessica Rush of Marion competed on the four-person team that also included Paul Hoey of Westport, Gabriel Nadolski of New Bedford and Sofia Maietta of Middleboro.
