ROCHESTER — A man was transported to Tobey Hospital with non life-threatening injuries after his vehicle struck a pole at routes 28 and 58 in Rochester.

The crash was reported just before midnight Friday, Feb. 14, Rochester Fire reported.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was found on the ground outside his vehicle, complaining of leg and hip pain, fire officials said. 

A small fire ignited within the engine compartment and was quickly extinguished by Rochester Fire. 

Rochester Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
