Marion Antique Auctions sale on Nov. 24

MARION — Marion Antique Auctions will hold its annual Thanksgiving weekend auction on Nov. 24, featuring over 500 lots of estate items. 

Some of the more interesting items at the sale include an early 20th century copper fish weathervane from Brambletyde, the Squaw Island home which was rented by President Kennedy in 1963, several 19th century Fiji Island war clubs, a collection of gold and silver coins in a closet during a routine estate appraisal, a selection of Scottish broadswords, and 18th century muskets.

The auction begins at 10 a.m. on Nov. 24.  Viewings will be held the morning of the sale from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and also on Nov. 23 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event is being held at Marion Music Hall at 164 Front St.
