Marion Art Center to hold summer musical theater program
The Marion Art Center is now accepting applications for enrollment in its 2012 summer musical theater program.
The Young People’s Musical Theater Class is for boys and girls who will be entering grades four through eight, and will take place each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The four-week class will begin Thursday, July 5 and will run through August 2.
Classes will focus on developing stage presence, creativity and talent through acting, singing, dance, theater games and improvisation. The final performance will be a Musical Revue featuring the students in solos, duets and group numbers.
Leading the program will be Kimberly Teves, a veteran performer with over 30 years experience in musical theatre.
The fee is $160 for members and $175 for non-members.
