Marion Church offers contemplative solstice service
Dec 14, 2018
MARION — Where some people dread the dark coming early in the winter, The First Congregational Church of Marion has turned it into a chance for contemplation and prayer.
The church invites town residents to attend a special service on Friday, Dec. 21 on what is the Winter Solstice, also known as the Longest Night for a Longest Night Service.
The First Congregational Church of Marion offers participants a quiet, peaceful sanctuary; a time away from the hectic business, a place to renew their spirits, a space to bring their cares.
The church, located at 28 Main Street (on the corner of Front Street), is handicap accessible and welcomes all.
