Marion Concert Band to perform 'The Call of the Sea'

On Friday, Aug. 28 the Marion Concert Band will close its 2015 season with a concert featuring a nautical theme.
The concert’s guest conductor is Bill Brown, a graduate of Berklee College of Music, and a music specialist in the Fall River Public Schools. As a trumpeter, Brown has performed with the Metropolitan Wind Symphony, the Rhode Island Wind Ensemble, the Nightlife Orchestra and the DownCity Band. He is also the conductor of the Swansea Community Musicians concert band.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the Robert Broomhead Bandstand, Island Wharf off Front Street in Marion. The concert is free and open to the public.
