Topics to be covered include how much sleep is really needed, what defines a good night of sleep, why sleeping pills are not the answer to sleeping difficulties, how to use natural techniques to increase the odds of getting a good night of sleep, and why and what to do about waking up in the middle of the night. Attendees should bring questions and concerns.

On Thursday, Jan. 16 at 1 p.m., a representative of the Massachusetts Senior Medicare Patrol Program will lead a discussion on how Medicare beneficiaries are instrumental in preventing, detecting and reporting Medicare fraud.

The workshop will provide participants with the tools to become more informed and engaged as healthcare consumers, which can help to protect from becoming victim to deceptive marketing and medical identity theft.

On Friday, Jan. 17 at 1 p.m., “The Dangers of Distracted Driving” will be held. St. Luke’s Trauma Center will educate attendees on the three main types of distractions, how many injuries occur daily due to distracted driving, how often on average drivers are distracted and how to limit distractions.
