MARION — The Council on Aging will present a one-man play performed by Stephen Collins at the Benjamin D. Cushing Community Center on Monday, Nov. 5th, at 12:30 p.m.

Written by Carl Rossi, Sailing Towards my Father explores the life of Herman Melville, the American author best known for his whaling epic Moby Dick. The play chronicles Melville's life from youth to old age, concentrating on his evolution as a writer and his complex relationships with God, his parents and siblings, his wife and children, and Nathaniel Hawthorne.
