Marion man searches for owner of lost watch

This summer Marion resident Ron Labbe found a silver watch at Silver Shell Beach, and months later he's still hoping the owner will come to claim it.

"It's the second time I've found a watch," he said.

The owner of that timepiece did step up to collect it, but so far, no one has turned up to identify the second watch.

While visiting Silvershell Labbe said, "I happened to see the glimmering on the beach."

Soon after finding the watch, he contacted the Selectmen's office and asked that a lost and found post be put on the town's website about it. No one ever contacted him and after seeing an article in Sippican Week about a couple who lost their engagement ring, he thought he would try the same avenue.

"I just hope we find the person," said Labbe.

All he asks is that the owner describe the watch to him and tell him where it was left at the beach.

Anyone with information on the watch, may contact reporter Georgia Sparling at georgia@sippicanweek.com or 508-776-2281.
