On Tuesday, Selectmen awarded the New Bedford-based Kelcor Inc. a $46,664 contract to install new shingles atop the Marion Music Hall.

Town Administrator Paul Dawson said the town received 11 bids for the work. Facilities Manager Shaun Cormier vetted the bids and settled on Kelcor.

“They have the experience and expertise necessary to do the work,” Dawson said.

Construction begins in early January, weather permitting.
