MARION — Tri-Town motorists may need to seek an alternate route as the Massachusetts Department of Transportation will begin road work on Route 6 beginning on March 27.

Intersections affected will be Jerei Lane, Converse Road, Main Street, Benson Brook Road, Barnabas Road and Spring Street.

Construction is estimated to last for six weeks, and will involve “sidewalk and [Americans with Disabilities Act] compliance along the road,” said Marion Town Administrator Geoffrey Gorman during a March 21 meeting of the Marion Select Board.
