Marion Selectmen appoint seven to Town House Building Committee
Apr 16, 2014
Seven people will have voting privileges on the newly created Town House Building Committee, but Town Administrator Paul Dawson won’t be among them. On Tuesday, Dawson asked Selectmen to be a voting member on the committee, which will guide the renovation process of the Town House.
Selectman Jon Henry argued that Dawson’s role as “decision maker” in town government would blur the lines of his employment. Dawson withdrew his request after debate among the Selectmen.
The board appointed the following people to the new committee: Priscilla Ditchfield, Evelyn Crocker, Jon Henry, Meg Steinberg, Bill Saltonstall, Wayne Mattson and Robert Raymond.
