MARION  — Streets will be cleaned and closets will be cleared when the Marion Cub Scouts Pack 32, Marion Boy Scout Troop 32, Gifts to Give and the Marion Department of Public Works host the spring clean-up.

The annual cleanup will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 30 at Washburn Park.

Participants will be given trash bags, recycling bags and a yellow vest to wear for the event. Assignments will be handed out and participants will clear the trash and other winter debris.

The Gifts to Give truck will be at the park to collect new and gently used children’s items. For more information, visit www.giftstogive.org.

Plastic bottles and metal cans will also be collected to support an Eagle Scout project in town.
