Marjorie Rollins, 97

Marjorie E. (Plissey) Rollins, 97, died Friday, December 23 at Nemasket Health Care Center in Middleboro.  She was the wife of the late Chester E. Rollins.

Born in Lakeville, she was the daughter of the late Harry F. & Mary E. (Pittsley) Plissey.

Mrs. Rollins worked as the head cook at Assawompsett Elementary School and as a prep cook at the Linden Lodge Restaurant both in Lakeville.  A resident of Rochester for 44 years, she was a member of the former East Rochester Congregational Church, the Rochester Senior Citizens and the Rochester Grange.

She loved spending time with her family and her husband and enjoyed gardening in their yard which was a showcase.

Survivors include two daughters, M. Jayne Lind and her husband Bud of Stueben, ME and Roberta E. Boehler and her husband Donald of Lakeville; her step-son, Wesley Rollins of Athens, ME; her sister, Alice Erickson of Lakeville, six grandchildren, Donna and Barry Standish of Middleboro, David and Licia Boehler of NC,  Scott Lind,of Middleboro, Kathy Lind and Partner Marie Perry, Wesley and Rickey Rollins of ME.  Two great granddaughters, Riley Lind of Lakeville, Rebekah Perry -Lind of FL; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sisters, the late Bernice Caldwell and the late Elizabeth Mastera and her brother, the late Harry F. Plissey, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6  at the Lakeville United Church of Christ, 1 Precinct St., Lakeville, MA. Interment will be private.
