Marylou (Stewart) Hobson of Weymouth formerly of Hanson passed away Aug. 6.

She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Jane (MacDonnell) Stewart. Loving mother of Prescott Hobson and his fiancée Kavitha Gopinath of Newburyport, Rebecca Hobson DiLeo and her husband Stephen of Stoneham and Boyd Hobson and his wife Lakshmi of Weymouth. Dear sister of Ralph Stewart and his wife Doris of Florida, William Stewart and his wife Doris of New Jersey and Donald Stewart and his wife Deborah of Weymouth. Cherished grandmother of Angela, Michael, Madelyn, Maya and Caleb.

Marylou was a devout Catholic assisting as a Lector in both St. Albert’s Church in Weymouth as well as St. Joseph’s Church in Hanson. She was a dedicated and compassionate principal for 14 years at the Sippican School in Marion.  Marylou loved spending time with her family and friends, camping and taking road trips.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Monday, Aug. 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home South Weymouth at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home Tuesday, Aug 12 at 8:30 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 9:30 a.m.
