The Mattapoisett Cultural Council is looking for volunteers. Each year, the council awards funds for public projects and events in the arts, humanities, and sciences. Programs include public cultural events such as plays and concerts, arts in the schools, community organizations, and field trips for students to museums and performances. 

Council members are municipally-appointed volunteers who help determine how to disperse grant funds. 

Members are appointed for three-year terms. The Council is looking particularly for volunteers with skills and experience in accounting, publicity, web design, public advocacy, and event planning.
