MATTAPOISETT — On Thursday June 15, the Mattapoisett Democratic Town Committee will hold its annual caucus to elect delegates from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the public meeting room of the Mattapoisett Fire Station, 62 County Road.

These delegates will attend the Massachusetts Democratic Party State Convention at the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell on Saturday, Sept. 23.

All Mattapoisett residents registered as Democrats as of May 23 are encouraged to participate in the caucus. Registered voters do not have to be members of the Town Committee to be eligible to attend the convention.

Attending a state convention is a way to meet people from across the Commonwealth who share similar political views. Delegates will have opportunities to meet and hear from many elected state officials as well as those who are organizers and officials of the state party.
