May 15 is Plant Something Day in the Commonwealth, and Paul Wildnauer of Greatscapes wants to make Mattapoisett a little greener.

On Tuesday, Wildnauer asked the Selectmen for suggestions of planting projects the town might need.

Town Administrator Mike Gagne suggested adding landscaping around a sign near the I-95 exit.

“That’s the first think you see coming into town,” Gagne said. “A year-round display of color would be nice.”

Residents can also suggest projects on the Mattapoisett Town website. Wildnauer said the project is not exclusive to flowers and trees.
