Mattapoisett Library to host crafting exhibit

May 31, 2022

MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Free Public Library is hosting a river road crafts exhibit June 15 to July 14.

The exhibit will showcase the work of Mattapoisett crafter Kathy McCarthy.

Her curiosity has led her from music to knitting to basket weaving to spoon carving to watercolor painting to quilting, and to her latest love, Eco Printing, a process that makes real leaves appear as though they are part of the silk scarves she works with.

The library is handicapped accessible and programs are free and open to the public. The library is located at 7 Barstow St. and is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. The library is closed Monday.
