MATTAPOISETT — The library has received a stamp collection, which it will use to create starter kits for those who want to try out stamp collecting, or philately. 

The affordable hobby offers collectors of all ages the opportunity to learn about people, places, and history and is a great affordable hobby for all ages. Interested collectors should contact Michelle Skaar by email, mskaar@sailsinc.org, or by calling the library.

The library’s scavenger hunt and bingo, are still going on until Aug. 28. Each task that participants complete will earn them a raffle ticket, which can be put towards gift certificates to Nick’s Pizza $50, Oxford Creamery $25, and The Slip $25.  

Participants should keep Michelle Skaar notified of their progress by email or by calling the library to earn raffle tickets.
